As the most famous institution of higher education, the HCT has delivered many graduates to the UAE government, various communications operators, colleges, banks, and corporations.
Challenges
During routine teaching activities of the HCT, the following problems exist before the desktop cloud solution is introduced:
  • Lack of a unified sharing policy of teaching software resources
HCT has abundant excellent teaching resources, including multi-media courseware, public courses, interactive documents, video lectures, and online exams, and these resources are shared in different channels, it is difficult to share these resources among 17 campuses within the UAE.
  • Lack of efficient information security protection measures
Excellent teaching resources of the HCT are spread outside due to lack of efficient information security protection measures. The security of core technology assets is under threat.
