Cloud Server Disaster Recovery Video

Cloud Server Disaster Recovery Service (CSDR) provides remote disaster recovery (DR) protection for cloud servers (ECSs and BMSs). If the production center fails in a disaster, the protected cloud servers can be restored in the remote DR center. In addition, local storage active-active protection can be configured for cloud servers in the production center to form local storage active-active + remote replication storage DR ring. If a single storage device in the production center is faulty, data will not be lost, and services will not be interrupted.

Efficient

Storage replication–based DR protection achieves zero RPO for synchronous replicaiton and RPO 15 minutes for asynchronous replication. The computing performance of ECSs is not affected during the replication.

Reliable

CSDR allows you to perform consistent remote replication DR protection for all volumes in one or one group of ECSs. Local storage active-active protection can be configured for cloud servers in the production center to form local storage active-active + remote replication storage DR ring.

Mutual DR

Two data centers work in mutual DR mode. ECSs in one data center can be protected to the other data center.

Easy to Use

For visualized service application and DR configuration, there is no need for application reconstruction, and faults are automatically recovered with only one click.

CSDR

Two data centers (DCs) are respectively deployed in two regions. One is the production center, and the other is the DR center. The two regions communicate with each other at Layer 3. Service systems protected by CSDR instances are deployed in the production center.

When a DC is faulty or planned to be shut down, you can manually switch the ECSs protected by CSDR to the DR center through one click. When you perform the fault switchover, RPO is about 0. The RPO of asynchronous replication is minute-level or above, and the RTO is hours.

This solution is suitable for scenarios where the web, applications, and databases are deployed as a whole on ECSs. The service system does not support disaster recovery, which will be provided by a cloud platform for ECSs.

Functions

Storage-based Replication

Synchronous replication (RPO = 0) and asynchronous replication (the minimum replication period is 5 minutes) are supported. The replication process does not affect the ECS/BMS computing performance.

Data Consistency

Tenants can perform consistent replication DR protection for all volumes of one ECS or a group of ECSs/BMSs.

Transparent to Applications

The cross-site remote replication at the storage layer is provided based on IaaS, without being aware of applications in the VM.

DR Test

Tenants can perform DR tests to check whether services on the DR ECSs/BMSs can be restored. The test does not affect the production VM.

Simple DR Management

The DR administrator can perform operations such as fault recovery, reprotection, and planned migration for the protected ECS/BMS instances.

Mutual DR Between Two Data Centers

ECS/BMS DR protection in one data center can be implemented in another data center.
