Hybrid Cloud ECS is a cloud server that is applied for on the public cloud and allows on-demand allocation and elastic scaling. When the resources in an enterprise DC are insufficient, Hybrid Cloud ECS can be used to quickly obtain the required ECS resources from the public cloud.

Unified VDC management

You can manage both HCS and HUAWEI CLOUD resources in a VDC.

Stability and Reliability

If a host fault occurs, the Hybrid Cloud ECSs on the host are automatically migrated to a functional host, ensuring 99.95% service availability. Multiple copies of your data ensures 99.9999999% data persistence.

  • Use GPU-accelerated ECSs, including G1 ECSs, which are based on NVIDIA Tesla M60 hardware virtualization and provide cost-effective graphics acceleration. These ECSs support DirectX and OpenGL, provide computing with up to 1 GB video RAM and 4,096 x 2,160 resolution. These ECSs are used for graphics rendering applications.

  • Use disk-intensive ECSs, which are designed for applications requiring sequential read/write on ultra-large datasets in local storage (such as distributed Hadoop computing) as well as large-scale parallel data processing and log processing. Disk-intensive ECSs are based on HDD and a default network bandwidth of 10GE, providing high PPS and low network latency. They also support up to 24 local disks, 48 vCPUs, and 384 GB of memory.

Getting Started

  • Apply for ECS

Apply for ECS


1. Log in to the ManageOne operation plane as a tenant.
2. Select a HUAWEI CLOUD region, for example, HUAWEI CLOUD_ Southern China Region.
3. Choose Computing > Elastic Cloud Service (HWS) > Elastic Cloud Service_HWS to apply for an ECS.

Deploy Application


1. Choose Network > EIP(HWS) > EIP_HWS to apply for a HUAWEI CLOUD EIP.
2. On the EIP list page, bind the EIP to the ECS.
3. Use an SFTP tool (such as WinSCP) to log in to the ECS, upload the software, and install the software.

Change Specifications


1. Choose Computing > Elastic Cloud Service (HWS).
2. Select an ECS, and choose More > Change. Ensure that the ECS has been stopped.
3. On the displayed page, change specifications as required.

Delete ECS


1. Choose Computing > Elastic Cloud Service (HWS).
2. Select an ECS, and choose More > Delete to move the ECS to the recycle bin.
3. Choose Mgmt & Deployment > Recycle Bin from the main menu. Locate the ECS and delete it permanently.
